S. Army in 1860 and becmae manditory in 1872 it was used until around 1900. This is a post civil war sword, late 1800's. Production. The sword is in super nice condition showing light use an wear.
The wire wrapping and shark skin are tight and in excellent condition. The blade is bright and clean and has had no cleaning or sharpening. Teh scabbard is super nice! There are a few very small shallow dents almost not noticeable.
One tiny screw is missing on the drag. This sword measures 36 7/8 long overall with a blade length of 29 1/2. See photos fro further details and condition! No reserve! A super nice u.
